LED is a very sensitive electronic component, so we must be very careful during storage and use, otherwise it will cause led moisture, device breakdown or failure, and many problems in the use of LED.
1. Operation: avoid direct contact with the front of duv-led in any packaging form with bare hands. Especially when operating the unsealed duv-led, such as SMT packaging devices, do not touch the upper surface of the led to avoid damage to the lead and chip. In addition, grease pollution on bare hands will absorb ultraviolet rays. When operating the duv-led, please use tweezers to hold the ceramic or aluminum shell of the duv-led and avoid the front of the device.
2. Heat dissipation: regardless of the packaging method, when the duv-led is lit, its heat dissipation base shall be connected to the radiator or PCB with good heat dissipation performance with thermal conductive adhesive. It must not be suspended for use, otherwise it will seriously affect the service life of DUV led. The 03wg series model of our company can be optionally equipped with connecting heat sink.
3. Anti static and moisture-proof: moisture-proof, anti-static packaging and moisture absorbing materials must be used to keep dry. If the packaging is not opened, it can be kept for 1 year. Static electricity and moisture will cause great damage to duv-led, so ① ensure grounding when using relevant equipment and instruments; ② Wear anti-static gloves; ③ Store in moisture-proof and anti-static containers, such as anti-static bags, moisture-proof nitrogen cabinets, etc; ④ Before opening the package, the LED device shall be kept at a temperature ≤ 30 ℃ and a humidity ≤ 60% RH; ⑤ After unpacking, the product shall be welded within 24 hours. If it cannot be welded in time, please store it at 16 ~ 30 ℃ and 45 ~ 60% RH. It is recommended that the LED work under the workshop conditions of 16 ~ 30 ℃, humidity 45 ~ 60% RH.
4. Welding: if reflow welding is required for UVLED devices, low temperature welding shall be used as far as possible, no more than 150oC, and the welding time shall not exceed 2 minutes. If high temperature welding is necessary, the maximum temperature shall not exceed 260 OC and the welding time shall not exceed 10 seconds!!! The number of reflow soldering of duv-led shall not exceed 2 times. For SMT packaged products with optical components (such as lens), high temperature welding shall be avoided to avoid lens adhesion failure.
5. Hazards and protection: human skin and eyes will be damaged if exposed to ultraviolet radiation for a long time. Avoid direct exposure to skin and eyes during testing and use. Ordinary protective gloves, sunglasses and glass can effectively prevent the penetration of deep ultraviolet rays below 320 nm.
6. Environmental protection: duv-led and packaging have passed ROHS certification and do not contain heavy metals and toxic compounds.
